Our Interhouse Athletics Meeting was a great success with Nyala winning the trophy!

Empangeni Preparatory School held their annual Mr and Miss Valentine on Thursday the 13th February for the school and on Friday night for the parents.

Our Centenary Gala was a festive occasion. Thank you to Miss Basson and Miss Tedder who trained our Synchronized Swimmers. We loved it! What a wonderful way in which to celebrate our birthday.

On Wednesday 27th and Thursday the 28th August, Prep held their Interhouse Athletics Meeting. In spite of a very windy Wednesday, Thursday was a lovely day. Well done to all our participants, supporters and winners.
On Saturday the 27th September 2014, Empangeni Prep hosted a Soccer Festival sponsored by Eagle Creek Spur. Eight schools participated and the winners were Zululand Remedial Centre and the runners up were Empangeni Prep. Thank you to our sponsers for this wonderful day.
On Friday the 31st October 2014, the Grade 7 classes held their successful Market Day. All the students love to buy food and novelties.
Grade 3 held their Speech Day on Friday the 28th November 2014. We saw Australians, Hawaiians and Zulus singing about their Summer Christmas where there is no snow. What a colourful and happy performance!
On Friday the 5th December we held our Senior Primary Prize Giving. Our guest speaker was paraplegic swimmer, Mr Q Harris. He is an inspiration to us all and we were humbled by his wonderful outlook on life and how he sets goals for himself each day. We are proud to acknowledge that he is a past student of Prep. We wish him all the best as he continues to break records and participates in National and International Galas.Congratulations to our three top prize winners.Rachel Foli on achieving the Sanlam Sportswoman of the Year, Nzuzo Mdalose for the Good Fellowship Shield and the top award of DUX for 2014 to Minenhle Nxumalo.
About 130 Prep students participated in the 5km Mondi Challenge Walk on Sunday, 1st March 2015. Thank you to the educators who accompanied them and to our sponsors, Ola! Thank you to Mr Mazibuku from Ejimini Fitness Club for sponsoring the T-shirts worn by the educators. A fun day was enjoyed by all participants.
On Friday, 13th March 2015 Prep held its Interhouse Swimming Gala.
Thanks to the SGB the students sat in the shade as a permanent roof has been erected over the seating area. The winning house was Inkonkoni and Ubhejane was voted 'The Best Supporting House'
The Asjas Steenkamp Sports Day was held at Heuwelland on Saturday the 14th March 2015. Thank you to Heuwelland Primary School for a lovely day of sport. Our U13 Hockey, Netball and Rugby Teams participated. Thank you to the coaches and the students.
On Friday, 27th March we held our annual St Valentine's Show. Thank you to all the organizers, judges and participants. What a lovely show for all to enjoy. Congratulations to our Senior and Junior Mr and Ms Valentine winners. Thank you to Eagle Creek Spur for sponsoring the Trophies, Floating Trophies, vouchers and decorations.
On Saturday, 18th April our under 9 Hockey, Netball and Rugby Teams went to Grantham Park. All teams had a lovely morning. Thank you to the coaches Mrs Reinbach, Mrs Becker, Mrs Burger and Mr Shabane.
Grade R held a wonderful Teddy Bears' Picnic on the field.. Each student brought along their picnic basket, blanket and of course their Teddy Bear or favourite soft toy. Much fun was had by all especially the Teddy Bears.
The Soul Buddyz organised a Special Assembly to commemorate Child Abuse Week.
Representatives were invited from the Department of Education and Justice, the SAP, as well as a Drama Group from Unizul. The Choir sang and Mr Khomo's Drama Group re-enacted our journey from 1976 until present day. Thank you to Mrs H Xaba and Mrs D Vilakazi for organising this very important event.
On Saturday, 12th September 2015 the Tiger Wheel and Tyre sponsored Soccer Day was hosted by Felixton College.
Thank you to all for an enjoyable day of soccer. Well done to our Girls and especially our u13 1st Soccer Team who won the tournament.

On Friday the 4th December the Senior Primary held their prize giving. Xolani Sithole, a past Prep student was the guest speaker.
Sadly we said farewell to Mrs Atkins as she left for Gauteng. She will be sorely missed after more than 20 years of dedication to Empangeni Prep!

Thank you to all the swimmers who swam in the Arboretum Gala and swam in the Leomat Relay 1000metres. The educators were there to participate....well done to all swimmers!!! We are proud of you!
We held a Special Assembly to say farewell to Mrs Simpson who relocated to Durban. We wish her well at her new school.
